The Infinite Loop of Fitness
People say that the journey matters more than the destination or vice-versa, but fitness is one journey where the path and destination both matter and both give you an equal amount of happiness, thereby making it an infinite loop.
A Fascination Turned Commitment
Fitness and gymming always fascinated me because of the dedication required to follow it. My journey began in 2017 with my career, and until 2020, I had tried multiple trainers, gyms, home workouts, and diets, all with short-term results and catastrophic backlash. Combined with my working schedule, by the end of 2018, I had gained about 75 kg, and no matter what I tried, the numbers were not changing. I didn't give up; I continued to train and build strength, only I was clueless about the process.
Discovering GOGETFIT
I came to know about GOGETFIT via a friend and initially just started following the page. During the 2020 lockdown, one very bored afternoon, I decided to go for it, and that's how I met my trainer, fitness mentor, and an amazing human, Prajwal. That was the beginning of rising to my current level of health, fitness, and confidence; yet more to achieve.
Learning The Right Way
My weight issues were purely lifestyle and stress-related, and it was here that I learnt that I was following a very mythical process before. Dieting isn't cutting off food and punishing yourself but it's just controlled and balanced eating. Who knew basic grade school science is the mantra for fitness?
Following The Fitness Gita
I followed Prajwal's words like the Gita for fitness and learnt so much throughout. Every journey has its hurdles, and mine was no different, but Prajwal had the solution to everything I put on his plate. It was his confidence in me that pushed me and motivated me. I started improvising, used the workout time as my stress buster, and tried my best to be consistent. I ate whenever I was hungry, switched to healthier but still tastier choices of food and beverages, and rewarded myself every time I reached closer to my goal.
Overcoming Stress And Weight Challenges
I didn't have a consistent fall in numbers as my weight issues were also stress-related, but nothing is impossible if we put our souls into it. Once I reached a consistent number, Prajwal pushed me to the next level, and it was exhilarating to see such significant and drastic changes. The praises and positive comments only added to the smile and purpose.
Achieving My Goal
Today, I weigh around 60+ kg, a straight fall of almost 14+ kg, and that too only with consistency and self-motivation, no high-end products, nothing.
A Life-Changing Decision
Some decisions take you places, some make you retrospect, but joining GOGETFIT is probably one of my top 5 life-changing decisions. From being an under-confident and body-shamed person, I went on to become more self-confident, decisive, and regained my go-getter spirit.
